One platform being used frequently today is podcasting stations. Podcasts are audio files that can be listened to and downloaded off of the internet, much like a talk radio station.

According to the creators of this podcast, they focus on different mental illnesses, treatment options, stories, raising awareness, and addiction. Although the subject matter is often very serious, such as when they speak about suicide, but they try to make it easy to listen to and fun at times. They take their podcast very seriously and want to make sure they are informative while they speak about these difficult topics.


The Dark Place

According to the creator of the Dark Place, Joel Kutz, everyone has a dark place and his podcast gives anyone an open invitation to come on and speak about their problems. The podcast covers a variety of different subjects and nothing is off limits to the program. The hopes is that listeners will find some comfort in the fact that there are other people going through similar situations.
